Brunssum – De politie is op zoek naar getuigen van een incident op de parkeerplaats van de Akerstraat in Brunssum. Er was sprake van een dreigende situatie waarbij twee personenauto’s betrokken waren. Getuigen verklaren dat ze een schot hebben gehoord. De politie onderzoekt de zaak en schakelt de hulp van het publiek in.
Woensdagmiddag 22 januari, omstreeks 17.00 uur, kwam bij de politie de melding binnen van getuigen die zagen dat er twee mannen uit een donkerkleurige auto stapten nadat de auto was komen aanrijden op de parkeerplaats aan de Akerstraat. De auto stopte in de buurt van een lichte auto die er geparkeerd stond. Uit de donkere auto stapten twee mannen die aan beide kanten van de lichte auto gingen staan. De twee mannen droegen een bivakmuts en ze droegen volgens de melders een vuurwapen. Er ontstond een conflict waarbij vermoedelijk de ruit van het linker portier sneuvelde. Na dit voorval vertrokken beide auto’s met hoge snelheid. Vanuit de parkeerplaats reden ze via de rotonde Akerstraat, Heerenweg in onbekende richting.

De politie komt graag in contact met mensen die mogelijk iets gezien hebben op woensdagmiddag rond 17.00 uur. Beide auto’s verlieten met hoge snelheid de parkeerplaats. Vermoedelijk is de linker voorruit van de lichte auto kapot. Was u getuige van dit voorval of heeft u de auto’s zien (weg)rijden? Heeft u andere informatie over deze zaak?
